Memorizing is Never Ending

You've completely memorized a Surah last week and moved on to the next Surahs. After a week of memorizing the latest Surahs, you realize the Surah that you've completely memorized long ago has slowly been forgotten. You might have asked yourself, "how could I easily forget?"

I realized that if I don't practice what I've memorized for a week, I'm sure to forget something. It could be the letter Hamza which was confused with the letter Haa, or it could be the letter Tha that got confused with the letter Zal. The only solution to this is to constantly revise.

Occasionally I'd spend some time reciting different surahs during obligatory Dhuhr or Asr prayers or during the nawafil prayers. A good idea I just thought about is finding a time in the week to recite everything that I've memorized. I usually have my free time on Saturdays, and I'm planning to use that day to do a Qur'an revision for at least an hour.

I'm beginning to love keeping myself constantly busy with memorizing new things, then revising it all again. The more I memorize, the more revision I have to make. If I keep this up I don't think there'd be a second of "boredom" in life. Hence me coming to the conclusion that Qur'an memorization actually colours my daily life. Have you started a memorizing schedule yet?
